Pentax Introduces the X90 Megazoom Digital Camera
February 24,2010 -- PENTAX today announced the megazoom X90. Featuring an extra-wide zoom, longer battery life than its predecessor and an electronic viewfinder, the X90 allows picture-taking in a wide variety of situations to photographers of all levels. February 23,2010 -- At PMA 2010 Sigma Corporation announced their new Sigma DP1x compact digital camera, incorporating a "TRUE II" image processing engine, improving the image-processing time, as well as a new AF algorithm, providing high speed auto focusing. In addition, the user interface has been unified with the DP2 series by changing the Set Up Menu and adopting the QS (Quick Set) button. Sigma Announces the Sigma DP2s 14-Megapixel Compact Camera with FOVEON X3 Sensor
February 21,2010 -- Sigma today announced the new Sigma DP2s compact digital camera featuring a 14 megapixel FOVEON X3® direct image sensor (2,652× 1,768× 3 layers). The Sigma DP2s is the successor to the DP2 which was introduced to market in April 2009 and incorporates a new AF algorithm, a Power Save Mode and a new rear design. The new AF algorithm provides high speed auto focusing, ensuring convenient shooting. The Power Save Mode lowers the battery consumption. When this mode is enabled, a greater number of pictures can be taken with a single charge of the battery. The new rear design aids quick recognition of the controls. The addition of red markings has been used to enable easier operation of the cameras controls.

Panasonic Announces Pricing for 2010 Standard Definition Camcorders and Compact-Sized HD Models
February 10,2010 -- Panasonic today announces pricing for its compact High Definition models, the HDC-TM55, HDC-HS60 and HDC-SD60, and its full-featured standard definition camcorders, the SDR-H85, SDR-T50, SDR-S50. Nikon D3s Firmware Update Released (Version 1.01)
February 10,2010 -- Nikon has released a firmware update for the Nikon D3s. This firmware update, version 1.01, corrects a compatibility issue with some memory cards where the camera would display the letters "CHA" in the top control panel and images could not be captured. This update also changes the video mode display where the histogram is no longer visibile while movies are recorded, and when connected to an external monitor using the ED-D2 cable the camera will show the Live View image on both the LCD display and the external monitor. During video recording the camera LCD now turns off.
