The Sony Cyber-shot U50 is the newest born in the line of U cameras. Starting with the 1.3 megapixel U10 in the fall of 2002, Sony has since introduced 2 diminutive 2-megapixel models, the water resistant U60, and the U10 replacement, the U30.
Now there is the U50, also a very small 2-megapixel camera, but one with an aluminium body, and a pivoting lens and flash section. The lens of the U50 can rotate 120° towards the front, and 90° towards the rear, the side of the main body that has a 1 inch TFT hybrid LCD monitor with 64,000 pixels.
