The Pentax Optios S30 is a compact 3 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 35mm -105mm on a 35mm camera) and an aluminium body. It has a 1.6" Colour TFT screen. The camera comes with 11mb memory built into the camera, and can be upgraded with an additional SD card. The camera takes 2 AA batteries, or a CR-V3. The camera also records unlimited 320x240 videos at 30fps with sound.

| The 3.2-megapixel Pentax Optio 30 is one of the more feature-rich models in its budget-camera class. While you won't find manual exposure on it, the Optio 30 offers a host of extras that add sophistication to an otherwise automatic point-and-shoot. Compact and lightweight at about 6.7 ounces with media and batteries installed, the Optio 30's plastic body is reasonably well built. A small but generally usable LCD is positioned on the left side of the camera back, with Menu and Playback buttons underneath. |
