HP Photosmart 375 Review

Review Summary
Reader Score: 5.00 (out of 10)
Now that digital cameras are everywhere, even on our phones, consumers are faced with another problem - how do we get those picture printed? The camera-phone picture may have replaced the autograph, but what’s the point if you can’t get that proof in hard copy? With this problem in mind, HP designed the solution, and named her the Photosmart 375. This photo printer is small, portable, and compatible with almost everything out there. Photographers who want to be able to print their own pictures from any source, anywhere, will be wowed by its feature list.

The HP Photosmart 375 allows you to print 6x4 inch colour and black and white borderless photos at up to 4800x1200-optimized dpi in the comfort of your own home. The HP Photosmart 375 is a thermal inkjet printer that can be used without a computer. It has a built-in memory card reader (supporting 7 different formats) and can also be connected to any PictBridge-compatible camera. There is also an optional internal Li-ion rechargeable battery and DC car power adapter for the Photosmart 375 which makes it truly portable. The HP Photosmart 375 has a 2.5 inch tilting LCD screen that allows you to see your photos, select which ones to print and add various effects. Using the supplied HP Bluetooth Wireless Adapter, you can make prints from any Bluetooth compatible device. You can of course connect the HP Photosmart 375 to your computer and use it in the same way as any other printer. So is the HP Photosmart 375 the ultimate portable 6x4 inch printer? Read my review to find out.

Mobile phone cameras are not only here to stay but also growing fast in numbers. Seeing this as either a threat or an opportunity for new market growth, printer manufacturers are jumping at the chance that you might just want to print images that you've taken on your phone. HP's answer is the Photosmart 375. On the surface, the printer comes across as another Photosmart 245. Noticeable differences are the inclusion of a tilt-capable screen for viewing images and a Bluetooth adapter included in the box. The Bluetooth adapter is where the mobile phone element comes in.
