Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7 Review
|
Review Summary
Reader Score: 10.00 (out of 10)
Review (Summary): "... This camera is full of features, such as a 2.5 inch LCD screen, easy to use controls and an incredible exposure system. Providing everything that an advanced photographer can ask for, with a full selection of manual controls, to the pre-programmed scene modes (Portrait, Landscape, High Shutter Speed, etc.) and the full automatic mode for the beginning users, this camera will be enjoyed by all. ...
... Once again, Sony has a very capable entry into the mega-zoom digicam market with the DSC-H7. Offering an 8 megapixel imaging sensor, a 15x image stabilized optical zoom and a slew of manual and automatic features, the H7 is a very versatile package that delivers excellent image quality. ..."

| Review (Summary): "... That Sony chose to increase the pixel count (to 8MP) and to include this year's 'must have' features (face detection and ludicrously high maximum ISO) can't have surprised many, but there are a few less predictable new features, and a few welcome changes. The former include a 15x zoom and HDTV (well, 1080i) output. ...
... if you've got more exacting image quality standards, want to enlarge more or want to actually use all those advanced features I suspect that, like us, you're going to find the H7 disappointing. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "... The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7 will satiate zoom cravers with its 8.1 megapixels and 15x optical zoom lens. The H7 is the less expensive sibling of the Sony H9, which has a bigger fold-out LCD monitor. The Sony H7 might be overshadowed by its big brother, but still provides a decent set of features at a reasonable price. ...
... The H7 is also a strong performer, displaying excellent color accuracy, low noise levels, and a lot of detail in captured images. As with all digital cameras, there are a few downers on the H7 – the poor resolution on the LCD and the intrusive lens hood being the most notable – but they aren’t enough to cancel out the other great features and impressive image quality at the retail price of $399." |
