Review: "The Kodak EasyShare C875 costs just $200 (as of February 15, 2007) but packs many features into an easy-to-use camera. It takes 8-megapixel shots and has a long (5X) zoom lens. You get a large, bright 2.5-inch LCD and 16 scene modes to help you quickly choose the right setting for the particular subject and lighting conditions you're dealing with.
The Kodak EasyShare C875 is a good, inexpensive camera. First-time digital photographers will find it easy to learn on, and its more advanced features will give them room to grow over time."

| Review: "Given its reputation for making some of the easiest digital cameras around, a new compact model from Kodak is always a good chance to evaluate what kind of entry-level cameras are being marketed to soccer moms and dads these days. With the new Kodak EasyShare C875, that would mean a small but solidly built, 8-megapixel digital camera with an impressive 5x optical zoom and 21 scene modes including an incredibly easy-to-use Panorama setting which has been appearing on most of Kodak's recent consumer models. The Kodak C875's 5x zoom is equivalent to a 37 - 185mm lens in 35mm format.
The Kodak EasyShare C875 is the kind of camera I would only recommend to beginners. While it does offer advanced manual control in the PASM settings, this is really a model designed for people who don't want to think too much about how to take pictures, and just take them...." |

| Reviews: "The Kodak Easyshare C875 is currently the top of line in Kodak's C-series. Typically, the C series cameras have been entry level, easy to use, and affordable. The C875, loaded with features, including manual modes, is sophisticated enough for the second time buyer or first time buyer who is looking for a camera with which they can learn the techniques of digital photography.
When it comes down to it, the Kodak Easyshare C875 is a good camera, but facing some stiff competition. Image quality was very good, ease of use was good and it has a good feature set. Where it falters is battery life and speed of operation. Its operation speed is by no means slow, but it's just not as fast as similarly priced competitors like the Canon A540 or A700. However, if you're looked for an entire digital imaging package, with camera and printer, the Kodak is a good option. Being able to dock the camera into an Easyshare Printer and print with a touch of a button is a very attractive proposition." |

| Review: "This is a deceptive camera. At first glance it looks like any other point-and-shoot zoom compact, but that simple appearance disguises what is actually a surprisingly high-spec device. It has a strong all-metal body with a good ergonomic design, an 8-megapixel CCD, a decently fast f2.8 - f/4.4 Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 5x zoom lens with a focal length equivalent to 37 - 185mm, a high resolution 2.5in LCD monitor and a full range of manual exposure controls. In fact if you look around there isn’t another camera on the market that can match it....
Although the EasyShare C875 is a bit slow and clunky at times, and rather large and heavy for a pocket compact, you'd have a hard job finding a more versatile camera for the same price. Poor low light focusing and flash performance limit its usefulness in social situations, but overall image quality and especially high-ISO performance are very good." |

Review based on a production Kodak C875
Announced in August 2006 the C875 is the new flagship model in the entry-level Kodak EasyShare 'C' range, and the most interesting yet. Where most previous C series cameras have offered basic, beginnner-friendly 'point and shoot' operation at very low prices, the C875 transplants the functionality of Kodak's higher-end Z and P series cameras into an inexpensive, compact body....
If you can live with the slightly sluggish focus, that awful over-the-top noise reduction at higher ISO settings, and the rather lame screen - and don't intend to produce huge prints - the C875 offers an awful lot of bang for your buck, and for this reason it just manages to sneak into our 'Recommended' category." |

| Review: "Kodak's 8-megapixel EasyShare C875 is by no means your average point-and-shoot. This talented camera has a ton of scene modes—21, to be exact. But that's not what captured my attention. What piqued my interest is the EasyShare's "smart" auto mode. In essence, the C875 has the ability to "guess" which scene mode you may want to use, based on what the camera sees.
All in all, the Kodak EasyShare C875 is quite a good camera, but at $299.95 (direct), it's a bit pricey for a point-and-shoot. Moreover, I believe Canon's PowerShot A630 still has an edge, in both image quality and features." |
