Canon PIXMA MP600 Printer Review
|
Review Summary
Reader Score: 8.50 (out of 10)
Review: "The Pixma MP600 is Canon's midrange all-in-one printer. It's also the least expensive Pixma to use Canon's new user interface, which aims to make printing, scanning, and copying easier than ever before (at least on a Canon printer). In terms of multi-function features, the MP600 can do just what I listed in the previous sentence - sorry, no faxing.
Print quality was excellent - and there wasn't much waiting involved, either. Photos looked great at both 4 x 6 and 8.5 x 11, with saturated colors and pleasing sharpness. In fact, we thought that the prints were even better than what we got from a famous-name online photo printing service. The MP600 can produce a high quality 4 x 6 inch print in 43 seconds, while 8.5 x 11's take 83 seconds..."

| Review: "With the release of the PIXMA MP600, Canon demonstrates there's still innovation to be seen in the design of all-in-one devices. New ideas, particularly in the design of the machine's operating system and the positioning of its control panel, make it an interesting test subject.
While the speed results may not be close to Canon's claim for this machine, in most other respects it does very well. Print quality is good, page costs are commendably low and the flexibility of the PIXMA MP600 ? with its dual paper sources, duplexing and innovative control method - make it good value at just over £100 ($199 U.S. 11/06). |

| Review: "The Canon Pixma MP600 Photo All-In-One printer ($199.99 direct) proves that Canon sees no reason to mess with a successful formula. Modeled closely on last year's Editors' Choice Pixma MP500 - which it replaces in Canon's line - the MP600 costs the same as the MP500 did originally and offers the same all-in-one (AIO) features and strengths, only more so. In particular, where the MP500 stood out for speed and output quality, the MP600 is faster and delivers even better print quality.
When I reviewed the MP500 last year, I said that it offered the strongest combination of speed, quality, and features in its price range. That statement applies just as well today to the Canon Pixma MP600, and that's enough to make it our new Editors' Choice for a home and home office AIO." |
