| Review: "The Nikon Coolpix L2 is another in Nikon's line-up of simple compact cameras. This one is equipped with a 6 megapixel CCD, a 3X optical zoom and a 2-inch LCD monitor, positioning it as an entry-level model.
Very easy to use, the Coolpix L2 is a good first point and shoot digital, and a good introduction to digital photography. Once the batteries are inserted, the camera is instantly ready to shoot as it has 23MB of internal memory.
...in its intended role as a simple to use entry-level camera, the Coolpix L2 should satisfy the requirements of many users. This is a camera that is particularly adept when subjects are well-lit by outdoor light, or when the flash is used to add extra light. Moreover, it produces images that are noise-free and sharp, making them ideal for printing." |

| Review: "he Nikon Coolpix L2 is built for simplicity, so the spec sheet is too. The L2 shoots up to 6 megapixels with a 3x optical zoom. Frame and review your images on a 2 inch LCD with 86K pixels of resolution. If you want to go cheaper, consider the L3 and L4 which simply drop in sensor resolution and price.
If you're in the market for a simple to use, affordable camera, the Nikon Coolpix L2 is an excellent option (as are its siblings, the Coolpix L3 and Coolpix L4). The ease of use of this camera is hard to beat and it produces consistently good images. Most entry-level users will also be pleased with the Nikon Exclusive Feature System - the Face Priority AF makes focusing a portrait a no brainer and the D-Lighting will correct the lighting on shots to provide pleasing results." |

| Review: "Though it's on the low-end of Nikon's Coolpix line, the new 6-megapixel L2 has the look and feel of a much more expensive digital camera. The flagship model of the Nikon L series - which stands for "Life" - the L2 sells for $249.95, while a step-down model, the 5.1MP L3 goes for $199.95
For an entry-level camera, the Nikon Coolpix L2 has a lot going for it, including a generous 6-megapixel CCD sensor, a sharp 3x Nikkor optical zoom and improved overall ergonomics, making it the slimmest and best looking digital camera I've seen that takes AA batteries." |

| Review: "The Nikon Coolpix L2 is a digital camera targeted to entry-level point-and-shoot photographers. It has 6.0 megapixel resolution on a 1/2.5 in. CCD image sensor, and a 6.3–19.2mm (38-116mm, 35 mm equivalent) 3x optical zoom lens, with a maximum aperture of F3.2(W)–F5.3(T).
The main weak point of the Nikon L2 has to be its shutter lag. At 1 sec., and frequently approaching 2 sec., it is just too high for candid shots. Landscape shots where nothing is moving is not a problem, but pictures of people will be challenging if you just point and press the shutter release button." |

| Review: "Weight and appearance make this feel like a quality piece of equipment. The model I tested came in gunmetal grey, which will not scuff or mark too quickly. It also has a pleasing grip surface for your right hand (sorry southpaws!) and an attractive chrome coloured strip along the top and down one side. Whilst the L2 looks like a "camera", I would also give it ten out of ten for understated styling.
This camera suits non-technical users who want fast access to some fairly advanced functionality. It really is a camera that you can just pick up and start using immediately. The color photos I took at 6 megapixels came out very well, and it coped admirably with overcast conditions. The colours were sharp and the borders between different areas of the photo produced the right amount of contrast." |
