Epson Perfection V750 Scanner Review

Review Summary
Reader Score: 8.53 (out of 10)
Review: "The V750 is EPSON's top of the range flatbed scanner designed specifically for the professional photographer and designer who needs high quality scans. As the V750 is supplied with identical film holders and other accessories to the V700, and has more or less the same specifications, I will skip my usual "What's in the box" section and will also skip the setting up section.

The mounted slide holder is the same as the V700, for a professional scanner this holder is far too flimsy. This holder is an improvement on their previous 35mm holders, now you can pre load the holder with up to 12 mounted slides. This means that you can start scanning straight away. With previous holders there was an aperture which you dropped your slides into, getting them out again resulted in fingerprints on the glass surface."B11B178061

Review: "The Epson Perfection V750-M Pro ($799.99 direct) shares most of its traits with the Epson Perfection V700 Photo. Both claim an optical resolution of 6,400 pixels per inch (ppi); both deliver among the best-quality scans I've ever seen; and both cost enough to be of interest only to serious photographers, particularly those with a large library of negatives and slides to digitize. But where the target market for the V700 is the serious amateur photographer, the V750-M goes one step further, aiming at both serious amateurs and professionals.

The V750-M lived up to its promise scanning our standard set of 35mm slides. At both our standard 2,400-ppi scan and the maximum 6,400 ppi, it not only resolved appropriate detail for the resolution, but did a visibly better job than the V700. It also did well on dynamic range, the ability to retain all the steps in shading from white to black...."
