Casio Exilim EX-Z120 Review

Review Summary
Reader Score: 8.00 (out of 10)
Review: "The Casio Exilim EX-Z120 is a compact, metal bodied digital camera that provides very good 7 megapixel images. The camera provides a good 2" screen, excellent battery life, a good video mode, and an average macro mode. The camera provides a mode for every type of digital camera user, from the very beginner, to the advanced expert and the digital camera is very easy to use in all modes. The camera doesn't appear to cut back on features, yet still manages to provide excellent value for money as one of the cheapest 7 megapixel, 3x optical zoom digital cameras available. The Casio Exilim EX-Z120 is definitely recommended!"

Review: "The Casio EX-Z120 is a member of the Exilim Zoom family, and offers a 7.2 megapixel resolution, a 3X optical zoom and a 2-inch monitor, all packaged in a simple and elegant body.

The autofocus is fast, whether using the 9 AF-point system or the spot focus. But the spot focus is more reliable and effective when tracking a moving subject. Missing, however, is an AF-assist lamp, which would have been useful when the ambient light is poor, and the zoom is at its maximum.

Overall, as with many other compact digital cameras, the Casio EX-Z120 yields excellent images when used under bright sunshine, but even when this is not possible, it is still able to produce very good images. But where the EX-Z120 stands out the most, at least in comparison to many other compacts, is the speed with which it reacts to the controls, and the speed and accuracy of its autofocus, making it a good choice to capture fast-moving subjects."
