Wacom Graphire4 Tablet Review

Review Summary
Reader Score: 8.00 (out of 10)
Review: "Available in both USB and wireless Bluetooth versions, the Graphire4 line comes in 4x5 and 6x8 sizes (6x8 only for the Bluetooth model). For most uses, the 6x8 model is a good compromise between tablet size and usability. For this review I looked at the 4x5 tablet. And, while it's smaller than I would want to use for everyday use, the smaller size made it a perfect travel companion, easily fitting into my laptop bag.

I've been a fan of Wacom tablets for years now, regularly using the Intuos3. The new Graphire4 has added a number of features that make it an appealing choice for many users, especially those who won't be spending several hours every day using the tablet. The 4x5 version, while smaller than I would use for desktop work, has earned a permanent place in my laptop bag when I travel."

"A graphics tablet can be a useful addition to any digital photographer's computer set up. It makes it easier to make selections around parts of your image and perform precise enhancements using the brush tools. I find it really worthwhile when cloning and using the dodge and burn tools.

Here's one very sexy graphics tablet. If you already own a Graphire this may not be worth the exchange, although you may get a good deal on your old one on eBay so it may not cost you much. If you're new to tablets don't consider anything else. You can get cheapy brands in budget supermarket clearouts but the quality is not in this league."
