Kodak EasyShare DX7630 Review
|
Review Summary
Reader Score: 7.86 (out of 10)
When you see a new digital camera touted as "more advanced," do you shudder at the thought of endless menus, a riot of mystery icons, and far-out features that even the company engineers can't explain?
We do. Which is why we were happy to get Kodak's new pixel-packed EasyShare DX7630 ($500 street). Here's how this advanced 6.1 - megapixel camera works: Take it out of the box, charge the battery, put it in the camera, turn the camera dial to auto, take pictures. Any questions?

| The Kodak EasyShare DX7630 is one of the latest in Kodak's hugely popular line of consumer digicams. Like others in the "DX" series, the Kodak DX7630 offers both fully automatic operation and a range of exposure options that let more experienced users exercise greater creative control. True to their name, the EasyShare line of cameras are indeed very easy to use, a fact that's no doubt contributed to their great popularity with consumers. The EasyShare DX7630 is a compact design that packs a wallop with a 6.1-megapixel imager. The Kodak 7630 provides full manual exposure control, an easy-to-understand interface, and a wide selection of user options while at the same time retaining the ease of use that gave the EasyShare line its name. |

| One of the more affordable 6-megapixel models on the market, the Kodak EasyShare DX7630 continues the line's tradition of user-friendliness but takes it up a notch with a few manual controls and high resolution. If you're looking for extensive high-end features, however, you'd best look elsewhere--this has just the basics. . . . |
