Fujifilm FinePix F11 Review
|
Review Summary
Reader Score: 7.00 (out of 10)
"The new Fujifilm Finepix F11 builds on the success of the Finepix F10, which was voted European Pocket camera of the Year in 2005. Although the F10, which is available alongside the F11, has a class-leading ISO range of 80 to 1600, it is still a completely point and shoot camera with no manual controls. This could make it less appealing to photographers who like to exert some more control over their image taking, and this is where the F11 comes in.
The Finepix F11 is a fairly compact and durable camera. With the exception of the plastic battery door and tripod mount it is entirely made of metal. Usability is excellent with nice positive controls that are easy to operate. While the camera can be used by the whole family as an easy to use point and shoot, the true enthusiast will still find enough advanced features to satisfy his or her creativity."

| "The Fuji Finepix F11 is a 6.3 megapixel digital camera with a three times optical zoom lens. It is a stylish model with a metal body. The Finepix F11 is a step up from a simple point and shoot digital camera. It offers some limited manual exposure settings and also some additional features to help it take pictures in lowlight situations.
The Fuji Finepix F11 is a good all round compact digital camera. It is well built and takes good photos and is also fairly easy to use. Anyone who is looking for a straightforward digital camera with some extra features thrown in could do worse than add this camera to their shortlist. " |

| "Fuji's F11 steps into the company's line-up alongside the F10, its predecessor. The F11 addresses a few elements of the F10 that were not exactly problems, more just missing, such as manual shooting control for example. So, the camera boasts more or less the same design and control layout of the F10 but with a smorgasbord of options and a new control switch that surrounds the shutter release on the top plate.
the F11 is definite improvement over the F10 thanks to the new manual control and the good image quality and handling. Battery life is superb so if it's a compact, stylish high-resolution digital camera your after, at £299.99, the F11 is one that should be very high on your hit list indeed." |

| Review: "The Finepix F11 is basically an updated version of the F10. It keeps exactly the same body design, the same 6.63 megapixel SuperCCD HR sensor and the same 3x optical zoom lens. What it adds to the winning formula is a higher resolution LCD monitor (153K pixels over 115K), slightly better macro performance (5cm instead of 7.5cm), and more importantly aperture and shutter priority exposure metering, absolutely essential for creative photography.
Since the F11 has the same optics, CCD and image processing system as the F10 it's no surprise that its image quality is identical, which is to say very good indeed. Exposure, focusing and colour reproduction are all first class, and the high quality Fujinon 8 - 24mm F2.8 - F5.0 lens produces outstanding edge-to-edge sharpness at all focal lengths, while keeping wide-angle barrel distortion to a minimum." |

| "The Fujifilm Finepix F11 is a 6 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens and 2.5 inch LCD screen. Nothing extraordinary there, but look under the hood and the Fujifilm F11 is suddenly a serious contender for the crown of "photographer's pocket camera".
The Fujifilm Finepix F11 is a pocketable, responsive digital camera that can be used in most photographic situations and which delivers fantastic images. Its main strength is the combination of amazing performance at ISO 800 and 1600 with almost full creative control via the aperture-priority and shutter-priority modes. The Fujifilm Finepix F11 will appeal to anyone who is looking for the ability to shoot in low-light with or without flash, whilst retaining control over the picture making process, all in a form factor that can fit into a pocket and be carried at all times." |
