Wacom Cintiq 21UX Review

Wacom has a winner with the Cintiq 21UX. There are very few products that I wouldn't want to be without and this is one of them. I consider it a must-have product for the serious digital photographer. Although not inexpensive at $2499, it's worth every penny.

| Two of the things in life that I'd least like to do without are my Wacom drawing tablet and my Cinema Display monitor. One of them lets me interact with creative applications like Photoshop in a way so much more sophisticated that with a mouse, while the other provides me unfettered screen real estate.
Wacom's new Cintiq 21UX is a combination of the two, a hybrid twenty-one inch LCD monitor with a Wacom-pen sensitive screen overlay. In theory it's a perfect combination of two of my favorite items, a merging along the likes of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Chicken Fried Steak, if you will. In practice it's an excellent combination of technologies albeit with a few caveats.
