Kodak EasyShare Picture Viewer Review

Review Summary
Reader Score: 8.00 (out of 10)
Kodak introduced its EasyShare Picture viewer in May 2005. We had the Kodak EasyShare Viewer in our possession for a short period. This very compact and extremely light weighted device enables viewing your pictures everywhere and anytime you like with your family, friends or colleagues. Its credit card size, although somewhat larger and equipped with a huge 2.5 inch LCD monitor, makes it an interesting device to have a closer look at.

While we have to commend Kodak for producing a truly attractive little viewer that is sure to win over many enthusiastic owners, it's still quite hard to understand the thinking behind it, particularly as there are today, a growing number digital cameras with the same size (or bigger) screen and that are not much physically bigger than this viewer-only device.

Kodak seems to doing a lot of innovating at the moment and I take my hat off to them for even thinking about doing something like the EasyShare Picture Viewer, let alone making it into a shipping product – there is nothing quite like it. It does fall into the category of things I'd fancy owning but probably wouldn't shell out for myself. But it would make a terrific, if pricey, gift.
