Leaf Aptus 22 Review

Review Summary
Reader Score: 6.92 (out of 10)
First Look Preview: The Aptus, which I am told will ship before the end of May in mounts for Hasselblad H and V models as well as the Mamiya 645, and the Contax 645 about a month later, comes in 17 and 22 Megapixel versions. While the model that I had a chance to examine (though in a limited environment), did not have its final firmware, and therefore several functions were not fully operational, in most respects the back was just about ready for prime time and so worthy of a first look.

Preliminary Hands-On Review: This is a hands-on preliminary review of the Leaf Aptus 22. Through the auspices of Amplis, the Canadian distributor for Leaf products, (as well as Hasselblad and a number of other major brands), I was able to use the Aptus on a Hasselblad H1 system for 4 days in late July, 2005. My thanks to Amplis Product Marketing Manager Jon Stewart for making his demonstration unit available for this period. I know how much it has been in demand since availability began just a few weeks prior.
