Product Introduction
In August 2004, Hewlett-Packard announced the addition of the HP Photosmart R607 to their fleet
of R-series digital cameras. Boasting 4.1-megapixel resolution for printing enlargements
up to 11 x 17", plus HP's exclusive Real Life Technologies (special HP features
that help you take better photos), the ultra-compact R607 sports a 21x total zoom
(3x optical Pentax, 7x digital) plus eight shooting modes and automatic (or manual)
focus for outstanding close-ups and shots from a distance. And it fits in one
hand!
The “small-but-mighty” R607 possesses HP’s Adaptive Lighting
technology, which brings out detail in photographs that would normally be lost
in shadow. HP’s exclusive Real Life Technologies include in-camera red-eye
removal; HP Image Advice for taking better photos (after snapping a shot, the
camera analyzes the settings and suggests how to improve next time); and the
Panorama preview mode for capturing scenes and natural vistas. Additional features
of the R607 also allow you to: Add creative touches to photos by adjusting the
resolution, compression, sharpness, saturation, and contrast on the camera;
Capture action with MPEG movie clips with sound or take a series of still photos
using burst mode; Save photos and videos to the 32MB internal storage or optional SD/MMC cards;
Send photos to e-mail addresses and on-line albums with HP Instant Share™ software;
Connect directly to any PictBridge compatible printer using the included USB cable ;
and Charge up the rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, plus transfer photos
to your PC with the R-series dock (sold separately). Using the included HP Image Zone
software you're able to Crop, rotate, and enhance photos, plus organize, create album pages, edit video,
and make photo CDs with HP Image Zone.
