Canon EOS 5D Mark II - Sample Gallery

This page represents the ISO image quality results achieved during my testing of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. This page will help you judge the camera's ability to handle noise, especially at higher ISO settings.

ISO Test Comparison - Standard Noise Reduction

The following photo has been reduced for web display and represents the scene that I used to capture full resolution images at each ISO setting. I then grabbed a small section of this image at 100% magnification in order to present you with a full magnfication view. In the photo below, the red box represents the crop area selected. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II had noise reduction set to "standard" and the .CR2 raw image was processed with Adobe Camera Raw 5.2 inside Adobe Photoshop CS4 and saved using JPEG at quality setting of 12 (100%).
