Canon Releases Firmware Update for Powershot SX1 IS to Enable RAW Image Capture
March 20, 2009 -- Canon today fulfilled their promise by releasing a firmware update (Version 2.0.0.0) that enables the Powershot SX1 IS to capture images in high-detail, unprocessed RAW format. Users can also download Canon's Digital Photo Professional software, a high-speed RAW editor that lets users adjust white balance, exposure compensation, and sharpness before converting to JPEG.
