Canon Rumors Claims New Variable Frame Rate Firmware Update Coming for the EOS 5D Mark II in First Half of 2010.

October 20, 2009 -- Okay, how's this for conflicting information. This morning I was told by a Canon rep that Canon will not be releasing a firmware update for the EOS 5D Mark II due to the frame rate being a hardware issue that can't be resolved by a software update (not buying it).  Then, this afternoon Canon Australia announced that it WILL release a firmware update for the 5D Mark II that will allow it to record at both 24p and 25p - according to Chris Macleod, Brand Manager - EOS, Canon Australia.   This information has also now been confirmed with Canon U.S.A. and Canon Europe.
