Will Canon Soon Be Announcing a 21-Megapixel EOS 5D Mark II?

August 29, 2008 -- Now that the Canon EOS 50D and Nikon D90 rumors came true, some sites are pushing their luck with new rumors of  a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, a replacement for the aging 5D, and a model that is claimed to feature 21.1-megapixels (Full-Frame), DIGIC IV processor, ISO from 100-6400 with ISO 50 in L mode and up to ISO 12,800 in H mode, 5 fps continuous shooting, a 3.2" high-resolution LCD screen, 19-point AF system, Live View, HDMI Out, 100% viewfinder coverage, full weather sealing, and the latest rumors are that it will also sport an HD movie mode - or are they just borrowing that bullet point from the just announced Nikon D90.

Additional information over at Canon Rumors show leaked information on other new Canon digital cameras including:

• Powershot SX1S: Which would replace the S5 IS and feature 10-megapixel resolution, 20x optical zoom (28-560mm), Articulating LCD, Hot-Shoe, and DIGIC IV processor
  
  
• Powershot SD990 IS: a 14.7-megapixel point & shoot with built-in optical image stabilization and the DIGIC IV Processor
  
  
• Powershot SD880 IS: 10-megapixels, DIGIC IV Processor

While a lot of this information would seem to be timed right with Photokina, the largest photography trade show,  less than a month away.  We still need to point out that none of this information is confirmed.
