Hasselblad Announces 50-Megapixel H3DII-50 to Ship in October

July 8, 2008 -- Hasselblad has announced that the new H3DII-50 will be shipping in October.  the H3DII-50 features the world’s largest sensor - a new Kodak 50 Mpixel sensor, measuring 36×48mm, twice the physical size of the largest 35mm DSLR sensors.  The H3DII-50 is designed to meet the exacting demands of high-end commercial photographers who require the ultimate in both image quality and performance.

Hasselblad is also running a promotion through September where you can buy a H3DII-39 now and receive a free lens of your choice - and still have the ability to upgrade to the new H3DII-50 for the difference in list price when it becomes available in October.
