Software Cinema Introduces New Adobe® Photoshop CS3 Interactive Training Series

Renowned Digital Artist Eddie Tapp featured in CLASSIC Photoshop Series

SAN DIEGO, CA – September 5, 2007 – Software Cinema, a leading software training company supporting the imaging industry of photographers, videographers and graphic artists, today announced the second title of its interactive training line for Adobe Photoshop CS3. The new series targets digital photography professionals and serious amateurs, and instructs viewers on the intricacies of photo enchantment and workflow. World-renowned digital artist Eddie Tapp, who was recently inducted into the Photoshop Hall of Fame, teaches the series. Eddie explains digital processes and effects that have been updated for the new CS3 version. All tutorials are available as a Product-On-Disc DVD or instantly by way of broadband connection through Software Cinema’s unique Workshops-On-Demand service.

The new Software Cinema series is titled ‘CLASSIC Pro Techniques.’ The two-disc set instructs viewers on how to streamline workflow and launch into new creative and image optimizing techniques in Photoshop CS3. The first disc includes a description of how to set up palettes for working spaces, which are features unique to the CS3 program. The disc includes instruction on how to work in Adobe Bridge with the powerful processing interface for RAW, Jpegs and more. Users can improve speed and image quality with Eddie’s Back to the Future Scanner Dust Spotting, BTF Moire & Blooming Colors, Creating Custom Brushes, Using Variables in Photoshop, Noise Reduction and more.

The second disc of the series includes additional information to help users in image enhancement. Eddie teaches creative and advanced techniques in CS3 such as Edge Effects, Back to the Future Portrait Enhancement, Borders & Rules, Dream Glow Pro 1, Cookie Lighting, Liquify Projects, Infrared Technique, Vanishing Point, Soft Focus Filter, Pen Tool, Extractly Right, Smart Objects, Multi Layer Projects, Rebuild Techniques, Photomerge and Templates for Production.

CLASSIC Color Management is a third DVD by Eddie Tapp, and is available as a combo with the Pro Techniques or individually. The disc, which was coauthored by Rick Lucas, is a comprehensive program about all aspects of color management including Color Spaces and Temperature, White Balance, Device Calibration, creating Color Profiles, Managed Workflow, Actions, Camera RAW, Preferences, and Color Management Scenarios.

“This set provides an important update to Adobe Photoshop CS3 users,” said Gary Burns, director of operations for Software Cinema. “Software Cinema’s newest CS3 title allows photographers to improve on the techniques they learned with CS2 DVDs, and expand their basic understanding of the new software. The DVDs are a great resource to anyone working with Adobe Photoshop, and Eddie really brings the lessons alive with his expertise.”

Software Cinema’s Adobe Photoshop CS3 ‘CLASSIC’ is the second of several CS3 tutorials and supporting live training camps planned over the course of this year.

Pricing and Availability
Each Software Cinema CLASSIC Pro Techniques DVD is available now for $99.00. CLASSIC Color Management is also available for $99.00. The Workshops-On-Demand option (requiring a broadband connection) is available for a little less than the discs with unlimited anytime access for 180 days.
