Durst Highlights Auto Photo Album System at WPPI Booth 1001

New ThetaWeb, Auto Photo Album System, Jota System Featured in Durst Booth 1001

LAS VEGAS, March 26, 2007 – Durst Image Technology U.S., llc today said its latest photo products and solutions – the new ThetaWeb fully automatic online system, Auto Photo Book System and Jota Album Printer – address the needs of photography studios for simpler, more value-adding workflow that delivers the innovative photo products that consumers want.

In WPPI Booth 1001, Durst is highlighting a total imaging solution built around the popular Theta 76 photo printers, featuring the new ThetaWeb – a comprehensive, fully automatic online ordering system. Attendees also can see the Auto Photo Book System – a modular, RA-4 process photo book production system that is configurable to meet studios' specific needs and designed for medium- to high-volume capacities. In addition, a completely redesigned Jota Album Printer, debuts in the U.S. this month.

Theta 76
One of the most versatile, affordable digital photo printers ever built is available in four configurations – emphasizing color output; speed and productivity; "true" black-and-white output; and economical printing. The Durst Theta 76 30-Inch Multi-Format Lab Systems, featuring an in-line processor and Durst's proprietary fiber optic LED technology, produce high-quality prints from 3.5x5 inches all the way up to 30 inches by 13 feet long – ideal for image consistency across an entire photo package. It satisfies a wide range of imaging demands at previously unattainable productivity levels, all with laser-like image sharpness, Durst said.

Auto Photo Book System
Durst's new modular, highly automated photo book production system is designed for studios and labs with medium- to high-volume production needs. This new system, which will be commercially available in the second quarter of the year, features a three-station modular design to accommodate specific capacity demands, and an automated workflow for one-person operation. The system – comprised of creasing/folding, mounting/gluing and feeder units – produces as many as 18 40-page books or 36 20-page books per hour, Durst said.

Jota Album Printer
A completely new Jota Album Printer features simple operation, high efficiency and a small footprint. The new Jota is an automated inkjet printing system that makes "photo quality" picture books and other
attractive, stylish image-based products, Durst said. The Jota is sold in the U.S. exclusively through distributors, the company said – including PTS Consulting & Service Group.
