Our Up-to-the-minute PMA 2006 Show Coverage Has Begun!

PMA is the largest annual photography and digital imaging show in the world. This year from February 26, 2005 through March 1, 2006 over 29,000 attendees will fly to Orlando, Florida to learn about the latest digital cameras, printers, lighting, tripods, filters, and hundreds of other accessories.

Our daily PMA Show coverage will include new digital photo and imaging products released during the show as well as pre-show announcements. Our extensive PMA 2006 show coverage will include all the latest cameras, digital photography accessories, and anything we think a photographer would find interesting from the show.

This year's show looks to be another exciting one as we're preparing to hear about some remarkable new products from Panasonic, Olympus, Sony, Nikon, Pentax, Casio, Samsung, and Canon. Olympus, just yesterday, announced the Evolt E-330, the world's first Digital SLR with live preview capability. The Evolt E-330 is one of seven new models that were introduced here in the U.S. yesterday.

Since January 1st there have been no less than 52 new models released and there will definitely be more. We have been told that Samsung will be showing their new Digital SLR, the GX-1S, which looks to be very similar to the Pentax *istDL2 introduced today. Sony will have a big presence at the show and will have many new video and still cameras on display. It's unlikely that Sony will be showing their first DSLR at PMA - at least not publicly - but if they do, we’ll let you know about it.

No matter what happens, you'll be able to read about it first on Cameratown.com. Our show coverage can be accessed directly at http://www.cameratown.com/shows/pma2006/
