LizardTech Launches Genuine Fractals 4.0

Now With Faster Scaling and Streamlined Workflow

Seattle, WA - February 25, 2005- LizardTech, Inc., a leader in software solutions that make it significantly easier to manage, distribute and access digital content such as aerial photography, satellite imagery and scanned color documents, today announced the launch of Genuine Fractals 4.0.

An indispensable tool for photographers, graphic artists and digital imaging professionals, LizardTech Genuine Fractals 4.0 PrintPro delivers the power to scale, store and electronically distribute digital images for a variety of output requirements. This award-winning plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® and compatibles gives users high-quality, print-ready enlargements of various sizes and resolutions from a single medium- or high-resolution digital file without compromising the quality of the original image. Key features offered with this new version include an improved image scaling workflow within Photoshop achieved by moving away from the proprietary .STN image format and streamlining within the Photoshop menu; intuitive user interface and faster image scaling and access.

The fractal technology found in Genuine Fractals 4.0 enables users to increase the resolution of electronic images and digital photos captured using a digital camera or scanner, resulting in sharp image enlargements. The software can also be used to scale medium-resolution images to achieve print-quality photos by scaling an entire image or easily cropping and scaling a specific area of interest within an image.

Genuine Fractals PrintPro 4.0 supports RGB and CMYK Photoshop color. System requirements for the PC platform include Windows® 2000 or XP® and Adobe Photoshop 7.0 or later; for Macintosh include Mac OS 10.2 or later and Adobe Photoshop 7.0 or later.
