Olympus Zuiko Lenses, New Sony HDPS-M10, Digital Rebel XT Photos

The second day of PMA will be under way in a few minutes. Today will be as hectic as yesterday, at least from an appointment standpoint. I will also work to get additional photographs of new products in order to bring you a better look at these models.

The following photographs will highlight some of the new products announced at the show this week. More to come in the hours ahead.

Photographs from the floor of the New Canon 8.0 Megapixel EOS Digital Rebel XT. This model will be availabe in both black and silver. In the above (left) photograph the black Digital Rebel XT is being displayed on the optional battery grip. On the right is the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT with the flash activated and ready to fire.

Olympus displayed prototypes of their newly announced high speed Lenses for their E-System Digital SLR's. In the photograph above, starting on the left, are the new 90-250mm Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens (180-500mm equivalent) with f2.8 aperture throughout the range. To its right is the 150mm (300mm equivalent) f2.0 Zuiko Digital Lens. To that right of that is the new 14-35mm f2.0 Zuiko Digital Zoom (28-70mm equivalent) and last is the large 35-100 f2.0 Zuiko Digital Zoom (70-200mm equivalent). These lenses were only displayed in a locked showcase. I apologize for the darkness of the images. This should at least give you some insight as to lens size.

Sony quietly introduced the new HDPS-M10, which looks to be the successor to the HDPS-M1. The "M10" features a 40GB hard disk drive, and media slots for Memory Stick media, and CompactFlash (if my memory serves me correctly). The unit is expected to ship in June with a suggested price of $299.00
