A couple of weeks ago I attended a weekend workshop in Moab, Utah with photographer Dave Black. Dave is a world renowned photographer and instructor and the focus of this particular weekend was Light Painting. The workshop was put on by The Digital Photo Workshops thedigitalphotoworkshops.com and is one of six workshops they are hosting between April and October of this year. Upcoming destinations include: The Maine Coast, Grand Tetons, and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

Friday, 05/18/12 - Mitch Aunger (aka. Planet Mitch), founder of Planet5D.com, and also one of the producers of "Incident on Marmont Avenue" a short film shot with Barry Anderson was released this past Tuesday - May 15, 2012.

Thursday, 05/17/12 - Sony today introduced a new mirrorless camera with DSLR-like quality, the new NEX-F3. The new NEX-F3 camera features the same space-saving mirrorless design as other models in Sony's E-mount family as well as an advanced, 16.1 effective megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, identical in size to sensors found in traditional DSLR cameras. The large sensor takes in more light during image capture, resulting in flawless, low-noise photographs and crisply detailed Full HD videos (60i/24p).
The NEX-F3 camera adds a whole new perspective to self-portraits with a 180° Tiltable LCD screen, a first for Sony’s E-mount camera line. By simply holding the camera at arm’s length and flipping the LCD screen vertically, users can adjust the on-screen preview image and properly frame photos. The new NEX-F3 compact digital camera will be available this June in silver, black and white with an 18-55mm kit zoom lens for about $600.
