Article Summary

Review: "When we take photos, what do we do with them? If you’re like me, you have gigage of data stored on any number of hard drives, waiting to find life permanently in print form. Creating an actual book album is what many desire and I've been looking for a solution that is relatively cost effective, while being elegant and permanent. My search led me to three products that I purchased to compare with and decide which one would be the long-term solution. There are other brands and options available, including custom made albums in which all you have to do is upload finished page designs to the company's server and then wait for your album to be delivered. Unfortunately, most if not all of these services are in the US and I generally prefer made-in-Canada choices to minimize S&H and customs fees coming across the border."

High ISO Comparison - Nikon vs. Canon & Digicam vs. SLR
"A couple of weeks ago, I got together with a local reader to do some ISO comparisons. My thanks to Daniel Lao for coming out for a couple of hours to do the tests and then chat about wedding photography afterwards.

Inkjet Paper Review Part II
"Back in August 2001, I wrote about my experiences with various inkjet papers from Epson and Lumijet. The Lumijet sampler package just happened to be one that caught my eye at a local computer shop, so I bit and bought it to try out. For the most part, there was nothing offered by Lumijet that I found to be better than comparable Epson papers.

White Balance Tools
Hang around the various photography web sites catering to the digital process for a time and eventually you will hear a term thrown around called "white balance." Some even consider this to be the most important aspect of a digital camera's performance, which I think is a bit carried away.

Digital Photography Recommendations
It has been a few years since I wrote my recommendations for film-based systems and while I coulda/shoulda written a similar article on digital-based systems, whatever I wrote would likely have become outdated within months, if not weeks of posting.
